Youth stabbed to death by friends after late-night quarrel in Kokapet

A late-night drinking session turned deadly in Kokapet, Hyderabad, when Yadagiri was allegedly stabbed to death by friends Afroz and Nawaz following a trivial argument. Police have arrested the suspects, and the body has been sent for autopsy.

Hyderabad: A late-night drinking session ended in tragedy when a youth was allegedly stabbed to death by his friends near the double-bedroom complex at Kokapet in Narsingi on Monday midnight.

As per available information, the victim, identified as Yadagiri, was consuming alcohol with his friends Afroz and Nawaz. Around midnight, a heated argument broke out between them over a trivial issue. In a fit of rage, Afroz and Nawaz allegedly attacked Yadagiri with a knife, inflicting fatal injuries.

The violent altercation, accompanied by screams, alerted local residents who immediately dialed 100.

Responding swiftly, the Narsingi police rushed to the spot, but Yadagiri had died by then.

Both suspects were taken into custody, and further investigation is underway.

Police suspect the incident was triggered by intoxication and a sudden quarrel over a trivial matter.

The body was shifted to the hospital for autopsy.
