YSS to hold Kriya Yoga programme in Secunderabad on October 1 and 2
The Yogoda Satsanga Society of India will organise a Kriya Yoga programme with senior sanyasi Swami Smaranananda Giri at Haryana Bhavan, Secunderabad, on October 1 and 2, followed by a three-day programme from October 2 to 4.

Hyderabad: The Yogoda Satsanga Society of India (YSS) is organising a special programme ‘Talk and Practical Guidance on Kriya Yoga,’ with senior YSS sanyasi Swami Smaranananda Giri at Haryana Bhavan, Ramgopalpet, Secunderabad on October 1 and 2.
Kriya Yoga, taught by Paramahansa Yogananda, is a meditation technique that helps practitioners turn their attention inward and cultivate greater concentration, calmness and inner awareness.
During the session, Swami Smaranananda Giri will introduce participants to the science and purpose of Kriya Yoga, its relevance to modern life, and how a regular practice of meditation can help one develop greater inner balance while facing the pressures and uncertainties of daily life.
Those who wish to take their interest further will also have the opportunity to attend a three-day Kriya Yoga programme from October 2 to 4 at the same venue.
Swami Smaranananda Giri before entering the monastic life had earned a Ph.D. in Electronics and Communication Engineering from IIT Kharagpur and pursued post-doctoral research at Concordia University, Montreal.
