Hyderabad: Now you can apply Zinda Tilismath as a balm to relieve your headache. The hoary Hyderabad company launched its new product on Saturday to mark its centenary celebrations.
Promising to be a sure shot remedy for all types of muscular pains, particularly headaches, the balm comes in packs of 1 gram and 10 grams and costs Rs 2 and Rs 35 respectively.
“We have tweaked the ancient formula a bit to make it more effective than similar products available in the market”, said Imad Farooqi, one of the partners of Zinda Tilismath.
As its name suggests, Zinda Tilismath retains its magical powers a century after it was launched by Hakim Mohammed Moizuddin Farooqui in 1920. Over the years, his sons and grandchildren have taken the brand forward by adding Farooqui Manjan and Zint throat soothers to the line of products. Now, as its 100-plus journey continues, Zinda Tilismath has come up with a balm in response to popular demand. A 100 per cent herbal formulation, the balm has no side effects and can be used externally as a pain reliever. An inhaler and toothpaste from the Zinda Tilismath stable is also in the pipeline.
Tennis star Sania Mirza, who is the brand ambassador of Zinda Tilismath, in a video message praised the medicinal properties of Zinda Tilismath and said she and her family have been using the product for long.
The family is now aiming to capture the huge market in India and also position the products internationally. Already they have tied up for the sale of Zinda Tilismath in the US, UAE and Qatar. The idea is to make Zinda Tilismath from har marz ke dawa to har ghar ki dawa.
