Zoha Qureshi stuns top seed Padmapriya to clinch ATF Under-14 singles title
Fourth seed Zoha Qureshi upset top seed Padmapriya Ramesh Kumar to win the girls' Under-14 singles title at the ATF South Asia Tennis Tournament. In the boys' event, Puneeth Manohar claimed both the singles and doubles crowns.
Hyderabad: Fourth-seeded Zoha Qureshi shocked top-seeded Padmapriya Ramesh Kumar with a 7-5, 7-6 (1) win in the girls under-14 singles final of the Tirumala Sreedhar Garu ATF Under (Grade A) South Asia tennis tournament at Lake View Tennis Academy here.
In the doubles final, P. Daungkhiaw of Thailand and Padmapriya defeated Vattaprambil and Krishika Guatem 6-3, 6-3.
In the boys final, too-seeded Puneeth Manohar notched up a 6-2, 6-3 win against fourth-seeded Aarav Challani.
Later, Puneeth completed a double winning the doubles title partnering Aarav Challani as the top-seeded duo recorded a 4-6, 6-2, 10-6 win in the final.
