10 caught red-handed for participating in cockfights in Telangana’s Asifabad

Police seize Rs 3,020 in cash, six motorbikes, 10 mobile phones and four roosters from them

Kumram Bheem Asifabad: Ten people were arrested by the sleuths of a Task Force team for participating in cockfights, which are banned, on the outskirts of Raspelli village in Kagaznagar mandal on Sunday.

Police seized cash Rs 3,020, six motorbikes, 10 mobile phones and four roosters from them.

Task force Inspector Rana Pratap said Thogari Sambaiah, Gajji Anjaiah, Nagoshi Ramaiah, Nagoshi Surender, Perka Lingamurthy, Lagoti Dileep, Sadulla Muttaiah, Naspuri Raju, Dharani Janardhan and Madasu Indrasena were apprehended while committing the offence when the sleuths raided a spot near the village following a tipoff.

The accused persons were handed over to the Easgaon police for further action.
