10-month-old baby crushed to death by reversing lorry in Mancherial

A 10-month-old baby girl was crushed to death by a reversing lorry at a cement bricks manufacturing unit in Seetharampalli village of Mancherial district on Sunday. Police registered a case against the driver following a complaint.

Mancherial: In a tragic incident, a 10-month-old baby was crushed to death by a lorry that was being reversed at a cement bricks manufacturing unit in Seetharampalli village on Sunday.

Mancherial Rural Inspector Ravinder said Lingampalli Milky, daughter of Raju, sustained severe head injuries and suffered grievous internal injuries when she was run over by the lorry at the unit, leading to her death on the spot.


Raju, a native of Peddabudha village, had migrated to Seetharampalli in search of livelihood a few years ago. He was engaged in brick-making at the unit. Based on a complaint, a case was registered against the driver, Venkat, a resident of Godavarikhani.
