10,000 poultry birds die as floodwater enters Nizampet farm in rain-hit Medak

In a tragic incident in Nandigama village of Medak district, nearly 10,000 poultry birds perished after rainwater flooded a local farm due to heavy rains.

Medak: Nearly 10,000 poultry birds died as rainwater flooded a poultry farm at Nandigama village in Nizampet mandal on Wednesday morning.

Due to heavy rains, the flood water entered the poultry farm. The farmers could not save them. The affected poultry farmers have urged the veterinary department to help them recover from the losses. One of the farmers said he reportedly suffered Rs 14 lakh loss due to waterlogging in his poultry.
