Hyderabad: Hyderabad Pharma City successfully completed the first batch of 45-day free skill development programme for 125 students. They were trained in two programmes — lab technician cum assistant and production /manufacturing operator cum assistant. Theory, lab practicals, industry expert sessions and industry visits were part of the training. The students were also provided inputs on personality development, life skills, IT essentials and financial literacy.
The programme was executed by Telangana Academy for Skill and Knowledge (TASK) in partnership with Life Science Sector Skill Development of Government of India. The Telangana government has committed to facilitating at least one job per family that has contributed land to the Pharma City project.
The programme achieved 100 per cent placement and the candidates were recruited by companies such as Aurobindo Pharma, Neuland Laboratories, Honour Lab and others. IT and Industries Principal Secretary Jayesh Ranjan awarded the letters of placement to the students.
TSIIC Managing Director EV Narasimha Reddy, Pharma City CEO Shakthi Nagappan. TASK CEO Shrikant Sinha, Ibrahimpatnam RDO Chary, Ranga Reddy DRDA Project Director Prabhakar and others were present, a release said.
