13th state-level sub-junior yoga competitions conclude in Karimnagar

The 13th state-level sub-junior yoga competitions concluded at Alphores e-Techno School, Kothapalli, Karimnagar, with the district emerging as overall champion.

Karimnagar: The 13th state level sub-junior yoga competitions (girls and boys) culminated on the premises of Alphores e-Techno School at Kothapalli here on Saturday. Alphores educational institutions chairman V Narendar Reddy was chief guest of the ceremony. The competitions were organised by the Karimnagar district Yoga Association.

Speaking on the occasion, Narendar Reddy opined that sports, particularly in yoga, play a vital role in mental, physical and emotional fitness among students. He said winning and losing are part of a game. He advised participants to be sportive. He was all praise for the organisers for successfully conducting the event in the district.

According to the organisers, Karimnagar district stood as the overall champion, while Rangareddy district figured at the second spot and Nizamabad took third place. Winners were presented with trophies and medals. Deepak, a student was felicitated for excelling in a national yoga event.

Telangana Yoga Association State president SN Reddy, former chairman Sardar Ravinder Singh and others were present.
