14 students injured as school bus overturns in Moinabad

Fourteen students of a private school were injured when their bus overturned on Moinabad Road near Mrugavani National Park on Wednesday. Police said the accident occurred after a tyre burst, causing the vehicle to hit a divider and overturn.

Hyderabad: Fourteen students of a private school were injured when a bus overturned on the Moinabad road on Wednesday.

According to the police, the bus carrying 24 children was on its way to the city from the school and near the Mrugavani National Park, Moinabad road when it overturned.

“The bus driver said that one of the tyres on the bus burst and the bus went out of control. The vehicle hit a road divider and overturned. A total of 14 children who suffered injuries were taken to a nearby private hospital and are undergoing treatment,” said DCP Chevella Yogesh Gautham.

Following the accident, there was a heavy traffic jam on the Moinabad road. The traffic police, with the help of a crane, pulled the bus off the road.
