Wings India 2026: Surya Kiran and Global Stars enthrall crowds at Begumpet airport
The Indian Air Force’s Surya Kiran Aerobatic Team (SKAT) and the UK-based Global Stars Aerobatic Team enthralled audiences with breathtaking aerial manoeuvres at the inaugural of Wings India 2026 in Hyderabad. The air show continues till January 31, with tickets priced at Rs 944.

Hyderabad: The Indian Air Force’s Surya Kiran Aerobatic Team (SKAT) and the globally acclaimed Global Stars aerobatic team, led by world-renowned aviator Mark Jeffery, put up an impressive aerial display during the inaugural ceremony of Wings India 2026 at Begumpet Airport in the city.
Flying the striking red-and-white Hawk Mk-132 jets, IAF’s air warriors painted the national Tricolour in the skies. Some of the breathtaking manoeuvres included diamond formation, loop and formation rolls that left the audience awestruck and SKAT concluded the show for the day with an air salute to the participants.
SKAT has performed over 700 displays across India, while also representing the professionalism of the IAF at international air shows in countries such as China, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Thailand, Singapore, and the UAE.
The team consisted of 9 Hawk Mk 132 aircraft that flew in extremely close proximity at a distance of less than 5 metres. The 14 pilot team is led by a Su-30 MKI pilot Group Captain Ajay Dasarathi.
Prior to SKAT’s air show, the Global Stars aerobatic team led by aviator Mark Jeffery from the UK air display captivated the audience with moves that included barrel roll, loop, round display hammerhead, and flare drops.
The air display is also scheduled for January 29, 30 and 31 with SKAT performing from 11 am to 11.30 am, and Mark Jeffery Aerobatic Team from 12 noon to 12.30 pm, and 4 pm to 4.30 pm on all the three days.
While the general public is not allowed on January 29, they can catch up with the air show on January 30 and 31. Tickets for the show have been made available on the website – https://in.bookmyshow.com/. Each entry ticket is priced at Rs 944 excluding booking fee.
