Hyderabad: A total of 140 more Telangana students have returned from war-hit Ukraine on Thursday. These students have reached New Delhi by flights from Bucharest (Romania), Budapest (Hungary), Rzeszow (Poland), and Kosice (Slovakia). They had crossed over to these countries from the Ukrainian border to board the special flights to New Delhi. Later, they reached Hyderabad by flight.
On landing at New Delhi airport, students were received by officials of Telangana government and they were transported to Telangana Bhavan where they were given accommodation and food.
The State government has made arrangements to receive all returnees at New Delhi and also booked air tickets to transport them to Hyderabad. The state government would continue to liaise with the union government to bring back Telangana residents from Ukraine safely. So far, 260 Telangana students have returned safely since February 2.
