Jagtial: Jagtial rural police on Monday registered a case against 15 persons for attacking a person in Bavajipalli of Jagtial rural mandal.
According to police, Kondapalli Neelaiah and his family members were boycotted by their caste elders (Budigajangalu community) in connection with a community dispute. The incident occurred one week ago. Neelaiah, however, lodged a complaint with the police on Sunday.
Enraged by his move, 15 persons attacked Neelaiah on Sunday night and thrashed him. Besides furniture, a CCTV camera installed at the victim’s house was also damaged.
On coming to know about the incident, Jagtial rural SI Manda Chiranjeevi on Monday visited the house of the victim and began investigation after registering a case against 15 persons.
