Peddapalli: Fifteen women agricultural labourers were stranded in Nakkalavagu near Mallial mandal on Saturday while attempting to return home after a day’s work in the fields.

The women, hailing from Goureddypet, had gone to Mallial to transplant paddy in the field of a farmer, Velpula Sampath. While attempting to cross the overflowing rivulet using a rope, they were trapped midstream due to the strong water current.
