Hyderabad: To celebrate the 9th Armed Forces Veterans Day, a job fair was organised under the auspices of Telangana and Andhra Sub Area (TASA) by the Army Welfare Placement Organisation (AWPO) at Golden Palm Sainik Bhawan, Secunderabad, in collaboration with the MAGIC BUS Foundation (India), Factset Research Sys, Telangana Overseas Management Company (TOMCOM) and private/multi-national companies.
Representing the HQ TASA, Deputy GOC, Brigadier NV Nanjundeshwara attended the event and delivered a talk to the aspirants at the job mela. Col BG Budhori (Retd), Director AWPO (AP & Telangana), also provided an event overview to the aspirants.
A total of 12 MNCs and private companies participated. Interviews for 233 candidates to include 206 ex-servicemen and 27 Veer Naris/dependents were conducted.
Impressively, 158 ESM, including 23 Veer Naris/dependents, were shortlisted by various companies for final selections. Three offer letters were handed over to selected candidates, including one Veer Nari, according to a press release.
