Mulugu: In a tragic incident, a 17-year-old youngster, who was working as a bike mechanic, drowned in Godavari near Mallur village of Mangapet mandal in the district on Sunday. The deceased was identified as Mancharla Rajesh from Malluru.
He went for a bath in the river this morning with his uncle, aunt and two cousins. Rajesh, who entered the water with his uncle Goli Rajaram, drowned since the water was deep in that area. The body was retrieved in the evening by police with the help of local fishermen.
