18 nabbed for harassing women in Hyderabad

Officials said working women, IT professionals and other young girls who were returning from work during late evening or night were being harassed by men at public places

Hyderabad: In the last three days, 18 persons were nabbed by the Cyberabad She Teams for harassing women at various locations during night hours.

Following frequent complaints from women on harassment in Kukatpally, KPHB, Madhapur, Gachibowli and surrounding areas, the She Teams conducted decoy operations during the night. Officials said working women, IT professionals and other young girls who were returning from work during late evening or night were being harassed by men at public places. The She Team personnel who were present there as part of a decoy operation, videographed their acts and warned them. They were further handed over to the local police stations for necessary action.

The Cyberabad She Team had in the last six months caught about 50 persons for harassing women.
