2.10 lakh tonnes of paddy procured in Sircilla
Interacting with farmers, District Collector Krishna Bhaskar enquired if there were any problems in transporting the grains to rice mills
Rajanna Sircilla: District Collector D Krishna Bhaskar instructed officials on Thursday to complete paddy procurement at the earliest and ensure smooth transportation of the grains to rice mills.
The Collector made a surprise visit to procurement centres in Peddur, Yellareddypeta, Venkatapur and Ragatlapalli. Interacting with farmers, Krishna Bhaskar enquired if there were any problems in transporting the grains to rice mills.
The Collector said 2.10 lakh tonnes of paddy had been procured in the district so far. Advising officials to arrange for adequate gunny bags and tarpaulins, he wanted them to provide basic facilities for farmers at the centres. He asked organisers to inform district-level officials in case of any issues in procurement.
