20-year jail term for man convicted of raping minor in Sangareddy
A Sangareddy court has sentenced a 20-year-old man to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment for raping a six-year-old girl in 2019. The incident occurred at IDA Bollaram, involving the daughter of migrant workers. The special POCSO Court, presided over by Judge K. Jayanthi, delivered the verdict after hearing both sides.

Sangareddy: A Sangareddy court on Wednesday convicted a 20-year-old man in a minor girl rape case, sentencing him to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment and imposing a fine of Rs. 10,000.
The accused, Durgaprasad, raped a six-year-old girl, the daughter of a migrant worker couple, at IDA Bollaram in May 2019. Following a complaint from the parents, the police had registered a case.
After hearing arguments from both sides, the special POCSO Court judge K Jayanthi pronounced the verdict, convicting Durgaprasad.
Superintendent of Police Paritosh Pankaj appreciated the efforts of the investigating officers and public prosecutors who ensured justice in the case.
