Warangal Urban: The Student Activity Center (SAC) of the Kakatiya Institute of Technology & Science, Warangal, (KITSW), on the occasion of the International Day of Yoga, organised a Yoga practice session for teachers and students on Monday.

Art of Living, life skills facilitator and meditation instructor GK Raghav has conducted the virtual training sessions for the use of the participants. Speaking on the occasion, he explained the need to have peace of mind through training on stress management techniques. “Respect your body with a smile,” he said and added that Yoga was the best way to live a healthy life and yoga practice involves mastering every action. He taught the skills of deep breathing techniques such as Sarvanga Asana, Bhujangasana, Vajrasana, and Surya Namaskar.
Anusha Raghav, Life Skills Facilitator and Meditation Instructor Art of Living also pointed out the shortcomings while imparting training on the skills involved in meditation. She has also successfully conducted virtual meditation training for the benefit of the faculty and the young student world.
MP, KITS Warangal Secretary and Correspondent Capt V Lakshmikantha Rao and Treasurer P. Narayana Reddy congratulated the organizers. The event was attended by 200 people from various disciplines (including faculty and students), who were trained in various breathing techniques to improve lung capacity.
Dean of Student Affairs, Prof. G. Raghotham Reddy, Associate Dean of Student Affairs, M. Narasimha Rao, Faculty In-Charge, NSS Club, Dr. V. Chandra Shekhar Rao, Faculty In-Charge, PMC Club & PRO Dr D Prabhakara Chary and others attended the programme.
