Hanamkonda: At least 200 units of blood were donated at a special camp organised at the University Arts and Science College at Subedari here on Wednesday marking Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao on February 17. West MLA Dasyam Vinay Bhaskar, inaugurating the camp, said the TRS had organised the camp responding to the call given by party working president and IT and Industries Minister K T Rama Rao.
“Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao as a leader of separate Telangana movement had fought to realize the 60 years’ dream of the people of Telangana putting his life at risk by going on fast unto death,” he said, adding that people of Telangana living in different states will also be celebrating Chandrashekhar Rao’s birthday.
Later, a free-meal programme has been organised by the TRS party under the leadership of MLA Vinay Bhaskar to 200 labourers at the Government Maternity Hospital in Hanamkonda, and food packets were also handed over to the RTC drivers at Kazipet railway stadium. Mayor Gundu Sudharani , TRS leader Boinpally Ranjith Rao and others were present at the programmes.
