2021 a promising start for Raj Bala

Among those recently-released movies during the festive season, actor Raj Bala’s Chitram X has been doing fairly well at the box office. It is the first low-budget movie to have released on big screens post lockdown and has seen good occupancy in over 200 theatres that the movie got released in the Telugu States. Directed by Ramesh Vibhudhui, Chitram X was bankrolled by Poolam Govindaiah. The movie was entirely shot in Maddigunta forest near Kamareddy.
“The movie is a horror. I play the protagonist. The story starts with a bunch boys gets a chance to assist researches of the archaeological team which is on an expedition to a village. As the entire men camp on a mysterious site, the youngsters discover a treasure. And one of the helpers notices it and hastily tries to open the chest. Subsequently, some evil spirits to get unleashed when it is opened. The evil forces then keep killing all the men. What’s the mystery behind it? And what these evil spirits got to do with the past is the crux of the story,” he explains.
Raj Bala is tasting success after struggling for more than 10 years in the film industry, as he says, the hard work is paying off as he has been getting meatier roles in movies. Another movie featuring him as an antagonist — Thongi Thongi Chudamaku Chandamama has hit screens on Friday. Anand Kanumolu directorial, the movie was produced by A Mohan Reddy. “I have been receiving a good response from audiences for the role I have played as Rana Babu in the movie. The year 2021 augured well for me as I have seen my movies getting back-to-back releases.”
Raj Bala has another two movies ‘Mister Q’ and ‘5Ws’ scheduled for release this summer. Apart from this, he has been playing the lead roles in Krishnalanka and two untitled movies.
