21-year-old held for stealing ATM batteries in Hyderabad
According to the police, Mohammed Shaibaz Ahmed, 21, a resident of Golconda went to an ATM centre of a private bank at Shamsheergunj and stole eight batteries from the UPS system on February 24.
Hyderabad: The Falaknuma police arrested a man on charges of stealing batteries from Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) systems at ATM centres in the city.
According to the police, Mohammed Shaibaz Ahmed, 21, a resident of Golconda went to an ATM centre of a private bank at Shamsheergunj and stole eight batteries from the UPS system on February 24.
“Ahmed works as a CCTV camera technician and went to the ATM centre in a car and took away the batteries. He told us financial problems forced him to commit the offence,” Falaknuma Inspector KS Ravi said. The police identified Ahmed with the help of CCTV footage and arrested him. A Hyundai i20 car was also seized.
