Khammam: In a rather outrageous claim that went viral on social media, a man in Khammam has accused noted film actor Mohan Babu of killing actress Soundarya and her brother Amarnath.
A resident of Satyanarayanapuram in Khammam rural mandal, Edurugatla Chittimallu, in a complaint to Khammam rural police made on March 10 stated that Mohan Babu killed the actress in a helicopter crash in April 2004.
He further said that Mohan Babu had demanded Soundarya to give a six acre farm house she owned at Jalpally, Shamshabad in Hyderabad to him, but she and her brother refused to do so. Then Mohan Babu developed a grudge against Soundarya and killed her, he alleged.
The State government should take possession of the six acre Jalpally farm house which Mohan Babu was enjoying illegally; give it to any orphanage, to army personnel, police or to the media personnel, he said.
Chittimallu also demanded that justice should be done to the younger son of Mohan Babu, Manchu Manoj and take appropriate action against Mohan Babu. In a video message he stated that he has been staging a deeksha at his house for the past 400 days by consuming just green leaves.
He wanted the Congress government to implement all its election promises. Women should be given Rs 2500 under Mahalakshmi scheme.
It was learnt that police have not yet registered any FIR in connection with the complaint. Soundarya’s husband Raghu responding to the development refuted the allegations made against Mohan Babu by Chittimallu and said the actor had not encroached any property belonging to his wife.
