Siddipet: After scrutiny and withdrawal of nominations, as many as 23 candidates have remained in Dubbak by-poll fray.
According to election authorities, as many as 46 have filed 103 sets of nominations. While the election authorities have rejected the nominations of 12 candidates, 11 others withdrew their nominations on Monday, the last day for withdrawing the nominations. While the contest is expected between TRS nominee, Solipeta Sujatha, BJP candidate M Raghunandan Rao and Congress nominee, Cheruku Srinvas Reddy, 15 independents and six others, who filed their nominations on small recognised parties tickets, were also in fray.
Meanwhile, the three main political parties have intensified their campaign. The election will be held on November 3.
