Hyderabad: The Nacharam police seized 23 quintals of PDS rice from one Kethavat Laxman (37) of Mallapur on Tuesday.

Police said he was procuring the PDS rice from the public at Rs 8 a kilogram and later selling it to hotels for Rs 12 a kilogram illegally. He was caught while transporting the rice in his auto trolley. Laxman along with the seized rice was handed over to Civil Supplies officials for further action.
