25 Maoists killed in encounter in Chhattisgarh’s Bastar region
According to Narayanpur Superintendent of Police Prabhat Kumar, a joint operation has been launched early on Wednesday by district reserve guard (DRG) of Narayanpur, Dantewada, Bijapur and Kondagaon following intelligence inputs about the presence of top cadres of Maoists' Maad division.
Kothagudem: A massive exchange of fire is underway in Abujhmad forests in Bastar region in Chhattisgarh and as many as 25 Maoists are said to have been killed in the encounter.
According to Narayanpur Superintendent of Police Prabhat Kumar, a joint operation has been launched early on Wednesday by district reserve guard (DRG) of Narayanpur, Dantewada, Bijapur and Kondagaon following intelligence inputs about the presence of top cadres of Maoists’ Maad division.
The number of casualties is expected to increase as the exchange of fire is still going on in the area.
