283 booked for drunk driving in Cyberabad during special drive
Cyberabad traffic police booked 283 individuals for drunk driving during a special check on Saturday. Most were two-wheeler riders aged between 31–40 years. Vehicles were detained and offenders will face court proceedings. Six drivers had dangerously high BAC levels.
Hyderabad: The Cyberabad traffic police caught 283 persons during a special drunk driving checking conducted on Saturday.
Among those caught are two wheeler – 219, three wheeler – 11, four wheeler – 50 and heavy vehicles 3.
The highest number of persons caught for drunk driving were in Jeedimetla traffic police station – 32, followed by Chevella 27, Shamshabad – 26 and Balanagar 22.
The highest persons – 101 caught are aged between 31 – 40 years, followed by 98 who are aged between 21- 30 years.
Six persons had recorded BAC count above 300 mg/100 ml.
Cases are booked against all the persons who are caught and their vehicles detained. All the persons will be produced before the court for legal proceedings.
