Adilabad: Adilabad In-charge SP Rajesh Chandra said that CCTV cameras would be used to detect violators of Covid-19 guidelines. He convened a teleconference with police officials on Monday.

Rajesh instructed the police officials to strictly enforce government order 82 and other relevant acts and to levy penalties against those who fail to wear face masks in public spaces and during travelling. He stated that fines were imposed against 400 persons who were not wearing face masks across the district on Monday alone.

The IPS officer opined that face masks would help citizens to protect themselves and their family members from the deadly Coronavirus. He underlined the need to sanitise and clean hands thoroughly. He sought the eligible citizens to get vaccinated against the disease and to prevent the Covid-19 pandemic.
