400 policemen deployed across Adilabad to enforce lockdown

Adilabad: In-charge Superintendent of Police M Rajesh Chandra said that the first day of lockdown was successful. Rajesh stated that 400 police personnel were deployed for implementing the lockdown, which went off peacefully on the maiden day.
He said that policemen inspected all the vehicles and verified permits. He informed that policemen were classified into three shifts and were posted at important junctions and checkposts for enforcing norms.
He said that agriculture-related activities, procurement of grains, transportation and NREGA works would be allowed. He stated that government employees would have to show their ID cards for attending duties. He cautioned that cases would be booked against those who violate norms.
