49th Sub-Junior National Basketball Championship: Telangana start strong, beat Assam 65-10

Telangana got off to a strong start, trouncing Assam 65-10 in the girls' event of the 49th Sub-Junior National Basketball Championship for Boys and Girls, being conducted by the Telangana Basketball Association under the auspices of the Basketball Federation of India and the Sports Authority of Telangana State in Hyderabad on Monday.

Hyderabad: Telangana got off to a strong start, trouncing Assam 65-10 in the girls’ event of the 49th Sub-Junior National Basketball Championship for Boys and Girls, being conducted by the Telangana Basketball Association under the auspices of the Basketball Federation of India and the Sports Authority of Telangana State in Hyderabad on Monday. Mythri (19) and Charitha (13) emerged as top performers in the team’s victory.

Results: Girls: Telangana 65 bt Assam 10, Chattisgarh 88 bt Rajasthan 29, Punjab 51 bt Uttar Pradesh 47, Tamil Nadu 78 bt Andhra Pradesh 27, Maharashtra 65 bt Madhya Pradesh 17, West Bengal 40 bt Odisha 26, Karnataka 65 bt Delhi 56, Puducherry 46 bt Uttarakhand 25;


Boys: Uttar Pradesh 84 bt Tamil Nadu 65, Madhya Pradesh 59 bt Maharashtra 52, Gujarat 61 bt West Bengal 58, Kerala 68 bt Mizoram 39, Haryana 72 bt Punjab 32, Karnataka 62 bt Chattisgarh 41, Uttarakhand 49 bt Assam 44, Manipur 39 bt Odisha 33, Andhra Pradesh 73 bt Chandigarh 47, Puducherry 61 bt Jammu & Kashmir 33.
