Hyderabad: A total of 56 concerned citizens from 18 States across India on Monday came together on the Change.org platform to strongly and unequivocally condemn the attack on Dr CS Rangarajan, the head priest of Chilkur Balaji Temple, said the founder of Confederation of Voluntary Associations (COVA), Mazher Hussain.

They asserted that such acts are unthinkable and an extremely dangerous development where a renowned and highly respected priest of a most revered temple is assaulted and forced to follow an agenda that is unacceptable to him.

If such trends are allowed to continue, common people can become exposed to unprecedented violence, making society unsafe and unlivable for all, they said.

They demanded Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy to initiate immediate and exemplary action against all individuals who were involved in such acts.
