Hyderabad: A 60 year-old man who had set himself ablaze on the Chevella road on Tuesday morning died while undergoing treatment early on Wednesday.

P Prabhakar Reddy (60), a resident of Ramanthapur had allegedly doused himself in fuel and set himself on fire at Chevella road on Tuesday morning. “Prabhakar had an argument with his wife after she refused to sell a plot belonging to the family. In a fit of rage, he left his house on Monday night and set himself ablaze at the roadside at Kandavada on Chevella road,” said the Chevella police.


On spotting him with burns on the road, the locals alerted the police who shifted him in an ambulance to Osmania General Hospital. He died while undergoing treatment early on Wednesday.
