Hyderabad: A 60-year-old man was allegedly murdered by his brother and nephew over a property dispute on Tuesday morning at Hayathnagar in city suburbs.
According to the police, the victim, K Raghu, had property disputes with his two brothers K Lekha and K Bhugga over their ancestral property measuring 60 guntas.
A few months ago, Lekha, without informing his brothers, registered one acre of land in his name. His brother Bhugga, who came to know about it, protested, and following a panchayat decision, Lekha transferred half an acre of land to him.
However, Raghu did not get any share in the ancestral property and on Tuesday morning, he went to the house of Bhugga to discuss the matter.
“An argument ensued between Raghu and Bhugga over the property issue. In a fit of rage, Bhugga and his son beat Raghu severely, leading to his death,” said the Hayathnagar police.
A case has been registered.
