65-year-old woman allegedly assaulted over black magic claim
A 65-year-old woman was allegedly tied to a tree and assaulted along with her husband and son at Nomula village in Ranga Reddy district. Police said the attackers suspected her of practising black magic. The woman suffered serious injuries.

Hyderabad: In a shocking incident not far from the city, a 65-year-old woman was allegedly dragged out of her house, tied to a tree and assaulted by a group of persons who suspected her of practising black magic at Nomula village in Manchal mandal of Ranga Reddy district.
According to the police, Pallati Venkatamma, her son Pallati Mahesh and her husband Pallati Pochaiah were at their house on September 23 when a group of persons allegedly entered the premises.
The persons reportedly dragged the couple out of the house and took them to a tree in the village, where they were allegedly tied with a cloth.
The group of persons then allegedly assaulted them with their hands and sticks. In the attack, Venkatamma suffered severe injuries to her left arm and leg. The group also attacked Mahesh and Pochaiah and damaged their car.
The group allegedly abused Venkatamma and accused her of practising black magic against people in the village. Police have registered a case and taken up an investigation into the incident.
