78 out 95 AEEs selected in recruitment test from one college in Sangareddy
The management of the engineering college invited all the selected candidates to the college and celebrated the achievement by organising a felicitation for the selected candidates.

Sangareddy: In an unprecedented achievement, the alumni of the College of Agriculture Engineering, Sangareddy, a constituent college of Professor Jayashankar Agriculture University (PJTSAU), bagged 78 posts out of 95 posts of assistant executive engineers (AEE), for which recruitment done by the Irrigation department. The management of the engineering college invited all the selected candidates to the college and celebrated the achievement by organising a felicitation for the selected candidates.
Since it is the only engineering college offering B-Tech (Agriculture) in Telangana, the remaining job aspirants had completed their engineering from other private colleges in various parts of India. Some of the aspirants had completed their B-Tech from Bapatla Engineering College and Madakasira Engineering College before the State was bifurcated. However, the students of the Sangareddy College, which was set up in 2011, secured more than 81 per cent of the posts on offer. Out of 2,000 students who appeared for the examination, nearly 350 aspirants were from Sangareddy College.
The BRS government had issued a job notification in September 2022 for recruiting 100 agriculture engineers into the irrigation department to ensure effective water management under the projects. However, the written examination conducted in January 2023 was canceled following a paper leak. Later, another examination was conducted in May 2023, the results of which were announced on June 15, 2024. After realising what their students had achieved, the college management celebrated the moment by organising a programme on September 15, on the occasion of Engineers Day.
Speaking to Telangana Today, Golla Venkatesh, who completed B-Tech from the college in 2022, said that 14 out of 60 of his classmates got the jobs while the students of the 2014-18 batch got 15 selections. Venkatesh, a resident of Kadpal in Sangareddy district, said that he was on cloud nine after seeing the results as most of his friends and seniors got the jobs.
Associate Dean of Sangareddy College Manoj Kumar said that such achievements would inspire the students to achieve something better. Students Affairs (OSD), Charith Kumar said that those selections would stand an example for the quality of the teaching being imparted at the college.
