84-year-old dies after Covid-19 test in Jagtial

He collapsed in the hospital premises after walking a few steps after completion of the test and died on the spot at around 2 pm.

Jagtial: A 84-year-old person died after undergoing Covid-19 test in Dharmapuri hospital on Thursday.

A native of Arepalli of Dharmapuri mandal, the deceased approached Dharmapuri urban health center to undergo covid test as he was suffering from fever since the last few days.

He collapsed in the hospital premises after walking a few steps after completion of the test and died on the spot at around 2 pm. UHC medical officer Dr Sravan confirmed the death.

He tested positive for Covid-19 a few minutes after his death. The body was handed over to the family after wrapping it in covid kit following covid norms.

According to family members, some other family members had also tested positive for the virus.
