88-year-old woman dies after falling into well in Rangareddy

Hyderabad: An elderly woman died after she slipped and fell into an agricultural well in Cheeded village of Manchal mandal in Rangareddy district here on Tuesday evening.
The victim was identified as G Narasamma (88), a resident of Cheeded village and an agricultural labourer who lived alone.
According to the police, the mishap occurred when Narasamma was walking by the unused and dry well. She slipped and fell into it and died on the spot.
She was found dead by a local villager, who informed the village head and the police. On receiving information, the Manchal police reached the spot and retrieved the body and shifted it to hospital for autopsy.
A case was booked.
