894 new Covid infections, four deaths in Telangana

A total of 1,057 persons recovered on Thursday taking the cumulative Covid-19 recoveries in the State to 2,47,790 with a recovery rate of 94.67 per cent

Hyderabad: Telangana recorded 894 new Covid-19 infections and four fatalities on Thursday taking the overall toll to 1,423 and the cumulative number of positive cases so far to 2,61,728. As on Thursday, there were 12,515 active Covid-19 cases in the State.

A total of 1,057 persons recovered on Thursday taking the cumulative Covid-19 recoveries in the State to 2,47,790 with a recovery rate of 94.67 per cent, while the countrywide recovery rate was 93.6 per cent.

Between Wednesday and Thursday, 39,448 Covid tests were conducted in the State while reports of another 784 samples were awaited. So far, a total of 50,50,612 Covid-19 tests have been conducted in the State out of which 2,61,728 have tested positive and 2,47,790 persons have recovered.

The Covid-19 positive cases reported from the districts included nine from Adilabad, 54 from Bhadradri, 154 from areas under GHMC, 32 from Jagtiyal, 17 from Jangaon, eight each from Bhupalpally and Gadwal, 10 from Kamareddy, 36 from Karimnagar, 39 from Khammam, five from Asifabad, nine from Mahabubnagar, ten from Mahabubabad, 24 from Mancherial, 11 from Medak, 84 from Medchal Malkajgiri, 16 from Mulugu, 12 from Nagarkurnool, 48 from Nalgonda, eight each from Narayanpet and Nirmal, 14 from Nizamabad, 28 from Pedapalli, nine from Siricilla, 70 from Rangareddy, 32 from Sangareddy, 21 from Siddipet, 22 from Suryapet, seven from Vikarabad, five from Wanaparthy, 18 from Warangal Rural and 41 from Warangal Urban and 25 from Bhongir.
