9-year-old twin violinists from Hyderabad hailed as ‘Pride of Telangana’
Hyderabad’s 9-year-old twin violin prodigies, Jathin and Jaswin Gudipudi, wowed audiences at their ‘Dwinada Dhvani’ concert at Ravindra Bharathi with complex Carnatic ragas, earning praise from cultural icons and being hailed as the ‘Pride of Telangana’

Hyderabad: A violin performance by 9-year-old twin violin prodigies from Hyderabad, Jathin and Jaswin Gudipudi, popularly known as JJ Brothers, enthralled the audience in a concert titled ‘Dwinada Dhvani’ at Ravindra Bharathi.
Trained under the guidance of violin maestro Dr Ashok Gurjale, the child prodigies performed complex Raagas and hymns in a concert that lasted for nearly 90 minutes, a press release said.
Mridangam maestro Dr Yella Venkateswara Rao, who attended the concert, blessed the twin brothers and praised their ability to render complex ragas, Raaga Aalapana, and Swara Kalpana passages with ease and command.
Dr Mamidi Harikrishna, Director, Department of Culture, Telangana, called JJ Brothers as ‘Pride of Telangana’. Addressing them as Telangana’s wonder kids, Harikrishna said, “The accomplishments of JJ brothers at this tender age are an inspiration to the younger generation and a matter of great pride for the region”.
During the concert, the twins played Kritis like Adamodi Galade in Charukesi raga, Vathapi Ganapathim Bhaje in Hamsadhwani raga, famous Pancharatna Keerthana Endaro Mahanubhavulu in Sree ragam, among others, the press release added.
