Beyond the kite-flying extravaganza, the festival showcased the rich tapestry of Indian culture. Traditional music filled the air, while vibrant dance performances captivated the audience. Children’s laughter echoed through the grounds as they engaged in a variety of games and activities. The aroma of freshly made arisa, sakkarai pongal, and other regional delicacies tantalized the senses, adding to the festive fervor.
A Commitment to Sustainability
The MDR Foundation, true to its ethos, prioritized environmental sustainability. The festival actively promoted the use of eco-friendly kites and launched a vigorous campaign against the use of harmful manjha, ensuring the safety of both birds and the environment. “Celebrating our traditions should never come at the cost of harming our environment,” emphasized Prithvi, highlighting the importance of responsible celebration.
