ABVP protests demanding investigation into alleged malpractice at JNTU-Hyderabad
Protesters wanted the administration to initiate strict action against those involved in malpractice in the evaluation process, including claims of passing exams for money
Hyderabad: Demanding an investigation into allegations of passing students in exchange for money, the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) staged a protest at the JNTU-Hyderabad administrative building here on Wednesday.
Protesters wanted the administration to initiate strict action against those involved in malpractice in the evaluation process, including claims of passing exams for money.
ABVP State Technical Cell Convener, Prashanth said it was sad to see JNTU-H’s reputation being degraded by various issues in recent times. “An investigation must be conducted and those responsible must be held accountable to restore the university’s credibility,” he demanded.
JNTU-H Rector Dr K Vijaya Kumar Reddy and Registrar Dr K Venkateswara Rao assured the protestors of proper action if anyone was found guilty. Several ABVP student leaders, including Nagraj Nukala, Poojith, Sriram, Shivamani, along with student leaders Lekhaj, Rishi, Sushanth, Saketh and among others, participated in the protest.
