ACB arrests JDWA office superintendent for accepting bribe

Karimnagar: Sleuths of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Monday arrested the office superintendent of the Joint Director of Works and Accounts (JDWA) department, Eegala Madhusudan, for allegedly accepting bribes from employees and contractors.
According to ACB officials, Madhusudan opened a benami account in Bhadradri Co-operative Urban Bank and transferred Rs 14.77 lakh, allegedly collected as bribes from employees and contractors, to the account between September 15, 2022 and September 20, 2023.
As the inquiry established that Madhusudan had transferred the bribe amount to his benami account, ACB officials arrested him at the JDWA office in LMD on Monday. He was later produced before the Karimnagar ACB court.
