ACB catches GHMC town planning supervisor accepting Rs 20,000 bribe
The Anti-Corruption Bureau caught a GHMC Town Planning Supervisor allegedly accepting a Rs 20,000 bribe in Hyderabad. The officer had allegedly demanded the money to process a building permission file. She was produced before a special ACB court and remanded.

HYDERABAD: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Tuesday caught a Town Planning Supervisor of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), Santosh Nagar Circle-25, red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 20,000 from a man for processing a building permission file.
The officer, Ch Prabhavathi, had demanded the bribe for processing the complainant’s building permission file and handing over the building permit order and work commencement letter.
The ACB officials caught Prabhavathi while she was accepting the bribe amount. The Rs 20,000 was subsequently recovered from her possession at her instance.
The ACB said the officer had acted improperly and dishonestly in the discharge of her official duties to obtain an undue advantage. She was produced before the I Additional Special Judge for SPE and ACB cases at Nampally for judicial remand.
The case is under investigation.
