ACB catches two treasury officials, private person accepting Rs 1 lakh bribe in Chevella
The ACB on Thursday caught two treasury officials and a private person while accepting a Rs 1 lakh bribe at the Chevella Sub-Treasury Office. The officials had allegedly demanded Rs 2.5 lakh from a complainant for processing salary and pension arrears.

Hyderabad: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Thursday caught two treasury officials and a private person while accepting Rs 1 lakh bribe at the Chevella Sub-Treasury Office in Rangareddy district.
The officials were identified as M Laxmaiah, Sub-Treasury Officer, K Anuradha, Assistant Treasury Officer, and V Jangaiah, a private person.
According to the ACB, the officials had allegedly demanded Rs 2.5 lakh from a complainant for processing salary and pension-related arrears. Laxmaiah allegedly accepted Rs 50,000 for himself, while Anuradha allegedly instructed Jangaiah to collect another Rs 50,000.
The entire Rs 1 lakh bribe amount was recovered from the tainted officials.
The trio was produced before the special court for ACB cases and remanded in judicial custody.
The case is under investigation.
