ACB nabs GHMC official accepting Rs 1 lakh bribe in Hyderabad
ACB officials caught a GHMC junior assistant in Hyderabad for allegedly demanding ₹5 lakh to process house construction permission. She was arrested after accepting ₹1 lakh as bribe near Yousufguda checkpost and is being produced before court.

Hyderabad: The Anti-Corruption Bureau sleuths on Monday caught the junior assistant revenue/tax working at the office of Deputy Commissioner Borabanda circle 37, GHMC, when she demanded a bribe of Rs 5 lakh and accepted an initial payment of Rs 1 lakh.
According to the ACB, the junior assistant B Srilatha had demanded an amount of Rs 5 lakh from a person to facilitate the processing of ‘house construction permission.’
She was caught red-handed when she accepted the initial payment of Rs 1 lakh near Ratnadeep at Yousufguda checkpost. The tainted amount of Rs 1 lakh was recovered from the possession of Srilatha.
She is arrested and being produced before the court, said ACB officials.
