ACB nabs police officer for taking Rs. 25,000 bribe in Gachibowli
The ACB requested citizens to contact their toll free number 1064 in case of a demand for bribe by any public servant.

Hyderabad: A Sub-inspector of the Women Police Station, K.Y. Venu Gopal, was caught by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on charges of demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 25,000 in Gachibowli on Thursday.
According to the ACB officials, the police officer demanded the bribe amount to delete the name of the complainant’s mother from a police case booked at the Women Police Station (WPS).
The tainted bribe amount was recovered from the possession of the SI,and fingers of his left hand yielded positive results in a chemical test, the ACB said in a press release.
Venu Gopal was produced before the special court for ACB cases.
