Medak: Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) sleuths caught a surveyor and a trainee surveyor while they were allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 20,000 from a farmer at Veldurthy mandal headquarters on Wednesday.
Surveyor Srinivasulu had allegedly demanded the bribe when the farmer approached him, requesting a survey of his one acre and 10 guntas of land. Unable to pay the amount, the farmer approached ACB officials.
ACB DSP Sudharshan said when the farmer called the surveyor on Wednesday, Srinivasulu asked him to hand over the money at a local petrol bunk. Later, he asked the farmer to give the amount to private trainee surveyor Sharath Kumar Goud. While Goud was accepting the money, ACB officials nabbed them. They were produced before the ACB court in Hyderabad.
