Hyderabad: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials on Tuesday launched surprise raids on the residences of Ambedkar, an Assistant Divisional Engineer (ADE) of the Electricity Department.
The searches are being carried out simultaneously at multiple locations, including his residences in Gachibowli and Manikonda.
According to sources, nearly 15 ACB teams are involved in the searches across several places. Ambedkar has long faced allegations of amassing wealth through corrupt practices and misuse of official powers.
Several victims are also reported to have lodged complaints with the ACB over the years.
Officials suspect that Ambedkar accumulated assets worth crores disproportionate to his known sources of income.
The searches are still underway and further details are awaited.
