Peddapalli: Anti-Corruption Bureau sleuths trapped Additional Assistant Engineer, TSNPDCL, Kasarla Rajkumar while accepting Rs 20,000 bribe on Saturday. Rajkumar, who is working as AAE (operations) in Manthani division, demanded a Rs 20,000 bribe from a home-guard Md Showkath Ali, resident of Arenda of Manthani, to install a transformer in his agricultural lands in Arenda.
Unable to pay the bribe, Showkath Ali approached ACB police, who hatched a plan and trapped Rajkumar, while accepting a bribe amount from the complainant at Bitupally sub-station. ACB police took AAE into custody and produced in ACB court, Karimnagar.
